What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a biocompatible, artificial "tooth root" made of materials that trigger new bone growth within the jaw. This process called "osseointegration" is what fuses the implant into your bone and makes it a permanent part of your body.

Compared to other types of modern tooth replacements, implant therapy can be the most permanent solution. The feel the most comfortable and natural, and offer the strongest biting force of all replacement options.

The dental implant itself is inserted under the gums into the bone. A connecting piece called an Abutment connects the implant to the prosthesis. The prosthesis can be a single crown, a bridge in the case of 2 or more implants, a denture, or a full arch solution. Dr Eggett

Dr Eggett loves implant dentistry- and it shows! A true master of dental implants, he has immersed himself into countless hours of continuing education to integrate all the best practices and techniques into his work. Utilizing the highest quality parts and technologies is a key to success, and Dr Eggett has gone above and beyond!  Dr Eggett is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He enjoys restoring smiles and truly is passionate for his work. He enjoys skiing, racquetball, fishing, and spending time with his wife and 6 children.

Dr Stobbe

Dr. Aaron Stobbe, a Utah native, attended Skyline High School and obtained his undergraduate degree in Medical Biology from the University of Utah. He received his DMD degree in 2001 from the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry. Dr. Stobbe is an active member of several dental organizations and focuses on dental implants and orthodontics in his practice. He is dedicated to staying updated on advancements in materials and technology to provide premium care. Dr. Stobbe aims to create confident smiles and improve patients' oral health. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching sports teams, and pursuing hobbies like golf, skiing, basketball, fishing, and supporting local sports teams.
